For me Numb are easily close second to FLA. Don Gordon is the unsung genius when it comes to utilizing expertly composed angst-driven electronics, his evolution throught the career is on par with Leeb’s and his Co. endeavors – from Suicide-like debut album to unhinged horror-themed industrial to hyperactive DJ’ish styles at the end of the 90s similar to FLAvour of the weak, then he released another superb LP, one of the most atmospheric IDM records in the genre 20 years later like it’s nothing.
