This album was recorded at the Dynamo festival in Holland, this being Nailbomb's second and last show. It was agreed that we would split up on the day of the show. Why? Because we would rather keep Nailbomb as intense as the day we started.
With Nailbomb we had the freedom to do whatever the fuck we wanted. It soon became obvious that if we continued the band we would lose the freedom and spontaneity of the original idea and become just another 'product' of the music business: Nailbomb on MTV. Nailbomb radio cuts. Nailbomb on tour. Nailbomb coffee mugs. Fuck that. You wanna see us end up like all those ridiculous coked-up plastic surgery dinosaur bands that just keep going and going?... Trying to squeeze every last penny out of it? Nailbomb was always meant to be short, to the point, and fun.
The Dynamo show is full of mistakes and technical problems, but that's how it was on the day. We think it captures the spirit of the band, unlike a lot of (live) albums today.
So enjoy the album, the same way we enjoyed making it and playing it live.
Proud to commit commercial suicide.
Alex Newport, Max Cavalera
